Terms
The deal, in plain words.
Nobody reads terms of service, and the reason is that they are written to be unreadable. This one is short because the arrangement is simple.
What you get
An account you can use to track what you eat, your cycle, and how you feel, and a set of tools that try to show you honest patterns in it. We will keep it running and keep your data safe as best we can.
What we ask
- Be a real person, aged 16 or over, using your own account.
- Do not try to break it, scrape it, or get at anyone else’s data.
- Anything you publish — a shared recipe, a byline — is yours to publish. Do not put someone else’s copyrighted work behind our name.
Your content is yours
You keep ownership of everything you write and log. You give us permission to store and process it in order to run the service, and nothing more. If you publish a recipe, you are giving us permission to show that recipe publicly — which you can withdraw by making it private again.
This is not medical advice
Patterns is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not contraception. It cannot tell you whether you are pregnant, fertile, or ill. Cycle predictions are estimates from what you logged and they are frequently wrong, particularly early on. Do not use them to avoid or achieve pregnancy. Nutrient targets follow published reference values for the general population; pregnancy, breastfeeding and many conditions change them, and that is a conversation for a doctor.
If something in the app worries you, take it to a clinician. A tracked record of your own symptoms is a genuinely useful thing to bring to that appointment — that is what it is for.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from settings, and everything goes with it. We can close an account that is being used to abuse the service or other people; if we do, you will still be able to export your data first unless the account was being used to harm someone.
The boring but necessary part
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will never be down, never be wrong, or never lose anything — which is why the export button exists and why you should use it occasionally. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, because it cannot.
Changes
If we change something material, the version at the top changes and you will be asked to agree again the next time you open the app. Small corrections do not move the version.
